Vibeslyfe – Rapper Nicki Minaj took up President Donald Trump’s allegations that Christians are persecuted in Nigeria, saying Tuesday at a United Nations event organized by the U.S. that she wants to shine a spotlight on “the deadly threat.” Trump has said Christianity faces an “existential threat” in Nigeria and has told the Pentagon to begin preparing for possible military action in the West African nation. Experts and residents say some attacks target Christians, but most emphasize that in the widespread violence that has long plagued the West African nation, everyone is a potential victim, regardless of background or belief. The Trinidadian-born Minaj thanked Trump for his leadership and for calling for urgent action “to defend Christians in Nigeria, to combat extremism and to bring a stop to violence against those who simply want to exercise their natural right to freedom of religion or belief.” She spoke at a panel at the U.S. mission to the United Nations along with U.S. Ambassador Mike Waltz and faith leaders. Comedian Freedom Atsepoyi, better known as Mr Jollof, has issued an apology over his involvement in a scuffle with Very DarkMan aboard a United Nigeria Airlines flight. In an Instagram video, he expressed remorse for the incident, stressing that he is not a violent person and only acted in self-defense. Phenom and Ycee Trade Words Over Remarks on Securing Collaborations with Top Artistes

Renowned Nigerian rappers Phenom and Ycee recently clashed on social media after Phenom commented on the difficulties of getting features from top artistes in the industry. Their exchange, which quickly went viral, saw both rappers airing their views on collaboration culture and mutual support within the Nigerian music scene. In a post on the X platform, Phenom had expressed his frustration on how difficult it is getting top artist to work with him on his upcoming project citing how he helped rappers like Ycee and Falz when he was trending few years back. The Oscar-winning actress, known for ‘Annie Hall’, ‘The Godfather’ and ‘The First Wives Club’, has died in California American actress Diane Keaton has died at the age of 79, a family spokesperson confirmed to People magazine. She passed away in California but the cause of death has not been made public, and her family her family has requested privacy, according to the magazine. Keaton was best known for her roles in ‘Father of the Bride’, ‘The First Wives Club’ and her Oscar-winning performance in ‘Annie Hall’. She also appeared in ‘The Godfather’ trilogy as Kay Adams. Born Diane Hall in Los Angeles in 1946, she adopted her mother’s maiden name, Keaton, for her professional identity. She rose to prominence in the 1970s, frequently collaborating with Woody Allen. Keaton never married but had well-known relationships, including with Allen, Al Pacino, and Warren Beatty. Her career spanned more than five decades and included roles in comedies, dramas and ensemble films. In 2024, she starred in Summer Camp, which marked her last film appearance before her death.
