Chelsea are preparing to approve their first major summer transfer decision under new boss Xabi Alonso, with goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen pushing for a Stamford Bridge exit.
The Danish shot-stopper is understood to be seeking regular first-team football after struggling for opportunities since arriving from Villarreal CF two years ago.
Despite being tipped to compete with Robert Sanchez for Chelsea’s number one jersey, Jorgensen has made only 11 Premier League appearances during his spell in West London.
According to BBC Sport, Alonso’s appointment did little to change the goalkeeper’s stance, with the 24-year-old already informing the club of his desire to move on this summer.
Chelsea had previously rejected interest in Jorgensen during the January transfer window, but the club are now reportedly ready to consider offers as several clubs across England and Europe keep tabs on his situation ahead of the new season.
