In a viral video, the officer’s words lay bare the growing frustration among frontline security personnel over widespread inequality and corruption within the nation’s leadership and security ranks. A comment made by a police officer attached to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, warning military personnel to stay off the altercation between the minister and a naval officer, A.M. Yerima, has stirred reaction from Nigerians.   During the trending video of the chaotic exchange, the minister’s police orderly was heard addressing one of the military men in Hausa, urging restraint and warning them to stay away from a fight between powerful individuals benefitting from Nigeria’s wealth. In his caution, the police officer was heard saying, “The powerful are fighting, while you and I are the ones suffering and hungry. Phenom and Ycee Trade Words Over Remarks on Securing Collaborations with Top Artistes

Renowned Nigerian rappers Phenom and Ycee recently clashed on social media after Phenom commented on the difficulties of getting features from top artistes in the industry. Their exchange, which quickly went viral, saw both rappers airing their views on collaboration culture and mutual support within the Nigerian music scene. In a post on the X platform, Phenom had expressed his frustration on how difficult it is getting top artist to work with him on his upcoming project citing how he helped rappers like Ycee and Falz when he was trending few years back. Reacting to the post, Ycee blast Phenom stating that he was paid for his verse back then, noting how the rapper used the same line he had already used on a record with Olamide on his song.
